NASA has awarded the Space Flight Systems Development and Operations Contract III to Sierra Lobo. The contract, valued at approximately $282.1 million, embodies a cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity provision.

Scheduled to commence with a 90-day phase-in period starting on Tuesday, Feb. 27, the contract is structured around a three-year base period, with the potential for two additional two-year option periods.

The contract covers the development and delivery of essential technology hardware and software, space flight systems, ground support equipment, and spares, as well as mission integration and operations, and sustaining engineering at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

Sierra Lobo will be responsible for the definition, design, development, analysis, fabrication, assembly, test, verification, delivery, and operation of space flight systems. Moreover, the contract encompasses associated support systems and equipment, as well as related ground activities such as research, science, and technology development and demonstrations.
