EarthDaily Analytics (EDA) has announced the acquisition of Descartes Labs (DL) and its subsidiary, Descartes Labs Government, Inc. (DLG). This move marks a strategic expansion for EDA, integrating DL’s expertise in insurance, energy, mining, and U.S. defense sectors into its existing Earth Observation (EO) offerings. Don Osborne, CEO of EDA, will lead the newly combined company.

The acquisition strengthens EDA’s reach across diverse industries, leveraging DL’s established products like Marigold, Iris, Ascend, and the government-focused Retina and Wayfinder.
