Space-Comm Expo, a leading event for the UK’s space industry, has announced a significant investment from Lunar Ridge Ventures, a firm founded by the team behind MVF Global, one of the UK’s fastest-growing tech companies. This strategic backing aims to expand the event’s reach while bolstering its influence on the global stage.

The UK space sector has continued to accelerate, contributing to the economy and advancing global space exploration and satellite innovation. Space-Comm Expo connects industry leaders, government representatives, and academic innovators in the ecosystem.

With this investment, the organizers aim to:

  • Enhance UK Events: The flagship events in London (March 11-12, 2025) and Scotland (December 3-4, 2025) will see improvements in programming, networking opportunities, and content.
  • Foster Industry Collaboration: New initiatives will address the evolving needs of the space sector, promoting deeper partnerships across the ecosystem.
  • Expand International Reach: The event will attract more global participation, launch a new edition in Dubai (October 6-7, 2025), and increase attendance from international delegations.

Christie Day, Managing Director at Space-Comm Expo, highlighted the broader vision, stating, “With this support, we’ll not only build on our success here in the UK but also establish a global platform that showcases the UK’s leadership in space innovation.”

Will Whitehorn, Executive Chair of Space-Comm Expo and former Virgin Galactic President, emphasized the interconnected nature of the space industry, noting that the Expo’s mission is to accelerate growth by uniting leaders from across science, technology, government, and business.

For Lunar Ridge Ventures, the investment represents an exciting entry into the space sector. “We are excited about where we can take Space-Comm Expo,” said Tom Morgan, Partner and Founder of Lunar Ridge Ventures.

As Space-Comm Expo enters this new chapter, its enhanced resources and ambitious plans are expected to solidify its role as a vital platform for innovation and collaboration in the global space community.
