The Space Development Agency (SDA) announced it has awarded Kratos Technology & Training Solutions, Inc. a significant contract valued at up to $117 million to develop Advanced Fire Control Ground Infrastructure (AFCGI) to support critical demonstrations and potential future operations under the agency’s Advanced Fire Control (AFC) initiative.
As the primary AFCGI vendor, Kratos will oversee a team focused on establishing a unified, resilient ground infrastructure that can support multiple AFC prototype projects. This infrastructure will play a pivotal role in advancing fire-control systems in space, with the ultimate goal of supporting the warfighter with responsive on-orbit capabilities. The AFCGI is designed to reduce costs and streamline operations, ensuring a standardized platform for fire-control technology development in orbit.
