Dcubed, a German NewSpace supplier, announced it has successfully closed its Series-A funding round. The round reportedly raised €4.4 million and exceeded expectations with a 26% oversubscription. Eight international European and U.S. investors participated, including High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Aurelia Foundry, Ventis, Rymdkapital, and Decisive Point Europe. The new funds will scale the production of satellite actuators and advance the company’s leadership in in-space manufacturing.
Thomas Sinn, CEO of Dcubed, emphasized the high market trust in their technology. With the new investment, Dcubed plans to quadruple the production of its satellite actuators by the end of 2024. The company will also open a U.S. office in Westminster, Colorado, to tap into the world’s largest space market and strengthen its global presence.
The new funds will also help Dcubed enhance its production capabilities and standardize its products. This will allow the company to meet the rising demand for satellite components. Additionally, Dcubed plans to launch an online store for space products, making it easier for customers to order components.
Dcubed’s strategic roadmap includes significant investments in in-space manufacturing. The company aims to demonstrate 3D-printing a high-performance satellite solar array in free space by 2025. This initiative will mark a world-first achievement in space technology.

By opening a U.S. office, Dcubed positions itself in a key NewSpace hub, benefiting from a network of space companies and research institutions. Andria Fortier, the new U.S. Managing Director, will lead the U.S. operations and strengthen strategic relationships with American customers and partners.
