Filtronic announced it has received a $9 million order from SpaceX for its E-band Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) modules. These modules will be crucial for deploying the Starlink constellation, which aims to provide high-speed, low-latency internet worldwide. Filtronic plans to fulfill this order within the current financial year.

This order is part of a strategic partnership between Filtronic and SpaceX that was established in April 2024. Additional share warrants have been issued as part of this agreement, marking a key milestone in their collaboration. The current milestone, Tranche 1, relates directly to the supply of E-band SSPAs. So far, 8,684,844 share warrants have vested, reflecting both companies’ commitment to the partnership.

Nat Edington, Filtronic’s CEO, expressed his satisfaction with the order. “We are delighted to receive this further order from our partner, SpaceX, as we continue to support the rollout of the Starlink constellation.
