Dhruva Space, an Indian Space engineering firm, and French satellite operator Kinéis have joined forces to bring advanced IoT services to India. This partnership will integrate Kinéis IoT connectivity within India and launch a Kinéis IoT payload on Dhruva Space’s upcoming P-30 satellite.

Dhruva Space will introduce Kinéis IoT services in India and explore new applications supported by Kinéis’ 25-satellite constellation. This collaboration includes a joint satellite mission to expand India’s space capabilities. The partnership will enable Dhruva Space and Kinéis to deliver affordable and reliable IoT solutions and foster innovation in the Indian market.

Dhruva Space has a track record in low-data rate satellite communications. Their P-DoT CubeSat platform and hybrid connectivity terminal, Bolt, demonstrated their capabilities in the 2022 Thybolt mission. Later this year, they plan to launch their P-30 nanosatellite, which offers both hosted and dedicated mission capabilities. This platform is scalable for various applications, including Earth observations and secure communications.

Kinéis’ IoT constellation connects objects worldwide, transmitting low data to users in near real-time. It aims to optimize crucial areas such as natural risk prevention, agriculture, animal tracking, and infrastructure monitoring. Dhruva Space will provide these services in India and work on developing new applications enabled by Kinéis’ satellite network.
