Oxford Space Systems Limited has successfully concluded an equity investment round, securing approximately £3 million in funding to support its expansion initiatives in both the UK and international markets as reported in a press release on their website. The majority of the funding was contributed by existing investors in the company.

Over the past two years, Oxford Space Systems has experienced significant growth, including a tripling of revenues, the successful deployment of five antennas in space, and almost a doubling of employee numbers. The company has also invested in developing additional deployable antenna products and manufacturing capabilities at its Harwell test and assembly facility and a new composite manufacturing site in Abingdon.

In collaboration with strategic partners, Oxford Space Systems has identified high-growth product opportunities, including variants of the successful Wrapped Rib Synthetic Aperture Radar antenna architecture, a Hinged Rib high-frequency antenna for intersatellite communications, and a terrestrial antenna for rapid deployment and high-performance connectivity.

The company has secured partner and grant funding to co-finance the development of these innovations alongside the recently announced equity round. Oxford Space Systems aims to leverage this funding to further expand its market reach, particularly in high-frequency satellite communication markets both in space and on the ground.
