SpaceX has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in response to the board accusing the aerospace company of unlawfully terminating employees who criticized CEO, Elon Musk.
The NLRB alleges that SpaceX violated federal labor law by firing eight workers in 2022 for signing a letter that criticized Musk for sexist comments that went against SpaceX company policies as reported by Reuters. SpaceX’s lawsuit, filed in a Texas federal court, contends that the structure of the NLRB is unconstitutional and seeks to block the case from progressing.
The company previously used a similar tactic to halt a case by the U.S. Department of Justice related to hiring practices.
