PRESS RELEASE — Washington / May 31, 2023 — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX) announced an agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to produce and demonstrate advanced networking and sensor fusion capabilities across a distributed battlespace.

Under the agreement, the companies are pursuing innovative projects that will provide the military with near-real time access to diverse datasets. In combination with artificial intelligence, these datasets can be used to cognitively and predictively update advanced radars and sensors across domains, increasing platform survivability and resiliency.

“We continue to execute our Trusted Disruptor strategy, working across industries to identify meaningful partnerships and deliver unique capabilities for domestic and international customers,” said Sean Stackley, Senior Vice President of Strategy, Growth and Technology, L3Harris. “Combining L3Harris’ experience in sensors and mission knowledge and AWS’s experience in software and cloud-based data architecture will enable new networking and fusion solutions for data-centric warfare – a DoD priority.”

“At AWS, we are committed to supporting our defense and national security customers’ critical missions, and work with partners like L3Harris to deliver industry-leading cloud services that enable the creation of new systems, enhance security, and lower costs,” said Dave Levy, Vice President of US Federal, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS. “Under this agreement, we will continue our collaboration with L3Harris and work together to deliver solutions that further address the data-driven demands of today’s operating environments and beyond.”

Both L3Harris and AWS are committed to developing open architecture solutions, driving functionality and interoperability for global customers. L3Harris and AWS are currently supporting the U.S. Air Force Digital Infrastructure consortium, which supports Advanced Battle Management System and Joint All-Domain Command and Control initiatives. This new agreement builds upon insights from that effort and others.
